Data Driven: 7 Years of Consumer Intelligence Group

Consumer Intelligence Group (CiG) is made up of a diverse bunch of people. We bring heaps of talent and personality to the office each and every day.

Workstations are accessorized with things like yoga mats or stability balls. Some team members have celebrated wedding anniversaries as long as other CiGers have existed on earth.

Some team members carry an unyielding enthusiasm for bean bag chairs. (While not entirely understood, this is generally accepted.)  We even have our own office Bromance.

And we were all excited to celebrate another year of Consumer Intelligence Group and a job well done.

In true CiG fashion, we marked the occasion by trying something new…axe throwing. Tournament style, with one crowned champion. And it was awesome.

We are experts when it comes to customer targeting and learned we are pretty good when it comes to the throwing sharp objects at concentric rings type of targeting too.

Amidst heated competition, friendly jeering, and cheers for “Bulls-Eye”, we found time to share our individual experiences of CiG.

Liviu, Senior Data Analyst

Liv is always happy to see that what he is doing is useful and describes the fruits of his labour, “like a good glove for everyone.”

Other proud moments include convincing most of the CiG team that a “tall blonde” is the best order from Starbucks,  as well as creating massive customer databases. When not passionately sharing ideas about data analysis, you’ll find Liv doing his next favourite thing… scoring data!

Steeve, Senior Developer/ Self-admittedly Great Guy

Steeve has been with CiG “since the beginning” and fondly remembers when the patio folding chairs were replaced with office chairs and desks. Not only an added comfort but a confirmation that against the odds this start-up was sticking around. Another interesting thing about Steeve is that he finds Alphabit cereal unbearable due to the chaotic nature of the characters.

“ If you asked us then where we expected to be seven years down the road, I don’t think either Tim or I would have said here.  Not because it’s not where we want to be, it is just so different. That’s what’s so exciting about evolution – there’s no roadmap. We’ll continue to do what we do best, ask questions, innovate and build.
